Welcome to the 2018-2019 School Year!

My name is Vivi Garibay. I've worked as a Special Education Teacher at Captain Joaquin Castro Elementary for 13 years and I absolutely love it! I was born in Othello, Washington, where my family worked as migrant field workers for 20 years. My family and I continue to live in Mission, Texas. In 2005, I graduated from The University of Texas Pan-American with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in Special Education. I have 2 precious, energetic, and super fun boys. Alexis is in 3rd grade and Eros is in 4th grade. We enjoy going to the movies and spending time together as a family.
