Mission CISD will continue with the adopted school policy which makes uniforms mandatory. Raiders are expected to wear royal blue polo shirts Monday-Thursday and a spirit shirt on Friday. Please see attached flyer for reference. These shirts can be worn with jeans, shorts, or khaki pants. Thank you!

From June 1 to July 31, Castro Elementary will participate in the 2023 Summer Reading Challenge sponsored by Beanstack. We challenge our students to read at least 30 minutes or more daily during the challenge and keep track of their reading on our Beanstack site at http://mcisdcastro.beanstack.org/users/sign_in

We're competing against schools and libraries across the nation for a chance to win cash prizes from Beanstack.

Incentives:

The Top Three Readers with the most minutes read in our school will be recognized at our First Assembly of the 2023-2024 school year.

Beanstack is awarding the following to the top schools and libraries:

Grand Prize: $1,000 (one school or library)

Second Place: $500 (five schools or libraries)

Third Place: $250 (15 schools or libraries)

Honorable Mentions: $100 (30 schools or libraries)
